If you love the bright, fresh flavors of tzatziki, you’re going to adore this homemade tzatziki salad dressing! It has everything you love about the classic Greek dip—cool cucumbers, creamy yogurt, a punch of garlic, and a burst of fresh herbs—all transformed into a smooth, pourable dressing perfect for salads, grain bowls, and even as a marinade.

What is Tzatziki?

Tzatziki is a traditional Greek sauce or dip made from Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, garlic, lemon juice, and fresh herbs like dill or mint. It’s known for its creamy texture and refreshing taste, making it a staple in Mediterranean cuisine.

Traditionally, tzatziki is served alongside grilled meats, gyros, or as a dip for pita and veggies, but its flavors translate beautifully into a versatile salad dressing!

Tzatziki dressing comes together in a blender or food processor. If you don’t have either, you can still enjoy this tasty dressing.

  1. Peel cucumber. Slice in half lengthwise. Using a spoon, scrape out the seeds in the middle.
  2. In blender or food processor, add all ingredients. Whiz up, salt to taste.
  3. If you don’t have a blender or food processor, after step 1: grate the cucumber and run your knife through the shreds to cut smaller. Mince the garlic and dill and stir all ingredients together.
  4. Enjoy!
